HARTFORD, OH (Pittsburgh Racing Now) – Spencer Bayston held off a furious attempt by Tyler Courtney to claim his first win in the All Star Circuit of Champions Lou Blaney Memorial.

“It’s so cool to be a part of this event,” said Bayston, who picked up his first All-Star win since August 2020. “I’m happy to get it done. I can’t say enough about Mike McGhee and the entire Sam McGhee Motorsports team. They are a great team that provides awesome equipment and they certainly made my job easy tonight.”

Bayston started third on the grid and worked his way up to second on lap 11, primarily working Sharon’s high side and keeping the momentum up in his No. 11.

Bayston passed leader George Hobaugh on lap 13 by diving between the Krill Recycling No. 40 and the infield tractor tires and remained out front until Hobaugh brought out the caution flag on lap 17 by making contact with those infield tires.  Hobaugh was not injured.

The green flag saw Bayston charge to the lead again but on lap 22 Tyler Courtney mounted a charge and tried a slide job off the bottom of turn one but hard contact with the turn two wall thwarted that attempt sending Bayston to victory lane and Courtney to a fifth place finish.
