Team Owners Chip Ganassi And Bobby Rahal React To Penske Buying IndyCar and The Indianapolis Motor Speedway

PITTSBURGH, PA (Pittsburgh Racing Now) – Two of the NTT Indycar Series most prominent owners are reacting to the news on Monday that Roger Penske’s Penske Corporation is acquiring the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the NTT IndyCar Series and IMS Productions.

Pittsburgh’s Chip Ganassi, who will campaign three cars in 2020 for drivers Scott Dixon, Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Ericsson, simply told Pittsburgh Racing Now that the announcement was “great news”.

Team owner Bobby Rahal, who fields cars for Graham Rahal and Takuma Sato, also released a statement and took to twitter:

The Board of Directors of Hulman and Company, who have owned the Speedway for 73-years, announced on Monday an agreement to sell the iconic Speedway and the Indycar Series to Penske Entertainment, a subsidiary of Penske Corporation.
