Championship Battles Continue Tonight At Lernerville Speedway

SARVER, PA (Pittsburgh Racing Now) – Two nights of racing remain for Championship contenders to take control as Fab4 Racing takes center stage tonight at Lernerville Speedway.

The tightest battle right now is in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks Division where Corey McPherson holds a 2-point lead over Tyler Dietz for the top spot.  Joey Zambotti sits in third, 22-points out of the top with Ryan Moyer 9-points behind Zambotti.

Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks Championship:

  1. Corey McPherson – 322
  2. Tyler Dietz – 320
  3. Joey Zambotti – 299
  4. Ryan Moyer – 290
  5. Mike Bordt – 237
  6. Joe Kelley – 234

The Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Big Block Modified Division is super-tight as well.  Brian Swartzlander, a seven-time track Champion, sits atop the standings with a 6-point lead over Rex King Jr.  Rex King is in third place, 17-points out of the top spot.

The Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprints saw a shakeup this week as Jack Sodeman Jr moved into first place on the strength of his victory last Friday at The Action Track.  Carl Bowser moved into second place after last week’s third place finish in the feature.  AJ Flick was the leader heading into last week when he failed to qualify for the feature because of an electrical failure.  Flick will be looking to rebound tonight to stay in the hunt.

Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprints Championship:

  1. Jack Sodeman Jr. – 293
  2. Carl Bowser – 280
  3. A.J. Flick – 272
  4. Jimmy Morris – 221
  5. Ralph Spithaler – 212

Ken Schaltenbrand holds a comfortable lead in the Precise Racing Products Late Model Division, where the race is on for second place.  Jared Miley sits in second place, 54-points behind Schaltenbrand but only 3-points ahead of third place.  Miley, Kelvin Kohan, Tyler Dietz, Colton Flinner and Mike Miller are separated by 7-points.

The Lernerville Kids Club is hosting a school supply drive tonight!  Fans are encouraged to bring school supplies to help out.  There will be donation boxes set-up at all gate locations. The Kids Club will also be taking part in a sand art project and will lead the crowd in reciting our nation’s Pledge of Allegiance.  The Kids Club is free for all children and meets every Fab4 Friday under the turn four grandstands.

Pits open at 4 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 5 p.m.  Racing start at 7:30 p.m.

Adult general admission is $15, $12 for seniors and $10 for students ages 11-17.
